Once upon a time, there was a beautiful and magical lavender field near Kyiv. Every season, photographers and models would visit it from near and far, in the quest of taking beautiful Instagram photos.
 
However, the concept of the "photo field" was very restrictive for the owners and it didn't allow the business to grow. So, they approached us with the challenge of changing their brand and repositioning them entirely.
 
We were faced with a real challenge: to change the perception of the location and attract 20,000 visitors to Poradiv. And all of this had to be achieved within a month of work (since lavender bloom lasts for only 4 weeks) and during the war in Ukraine 😱

First, we conducted an in-depth market analysis and reached several key conclusions:

<li>The market is quite saturated, but there are still untapped territories of calmness and health in our category.</li>
<li>Competitors primarily target two audiences: families with children and photographers and models.</li>
<li>The war has caused significant changes in audience behavior: the level of stress has increased, and there is a growing demand to overcome it. At the same time, the potential male audience is currently difficult to reach (some are serving in the military, while others avoid traveling due to suburban checkpoints).</li>
</ul>

Taking all of this into consideration, along with the product itself (lavender is known for its soothing properties), we have decided to reposition the client's business as the first lavender recreational space for women in Ukraine.

Brand Idea

Feeling connected and reminiscent of their old logo, our client was interested in aligning the logo with the new positioning in a gentle and loving hand. So,  in order to give it a more modern, exciting, soft and inviting effect, we made the shape more open and light, removed the "frame" and sharp angles, replaced the font and descriptor, and chose colors that breathe calmness and the freshness of lavender.

The website and social media platforms are the primary points of contact with potential park visitors. Therefore, we developed a new website for Poradiv - informative, functional, aesthetic, and modern.
 
Here, users can find all the necessary information about Poradiv and purchase online tickets, and also experience the atmosphere of the relaxation park through a sensory design.

To ensure consistent communication for Poradiv across all channels, we developed a branded design system for social media platforms.

Annnddd… The risk paid off! in July 2023, the park welcomed more visitors than in previous seasons.

We were approached by a historian enthusiast who has been researching international archives and uncovering previously unknown facts about the history of Ukraine since 2014. The client needed a website where he could publish his discoveries for the general public.
 
After familiarizing ourselves with the client's materials, we realized we were dealing with a treasure.
 
His research fills historical gaps and thoroughly debunks the historical fakes propagated by Russian propaganda.

So, to rediscover the history of Ukraine, we created something more than just a website.

We decided to show how rich Ukraine's history is in events, while highlighting the numerous undiscovered gaps we aim to fill.
 
We created an interactive timeline featuring all the known events and gaps in the history of Ukraine, from the appearance of the first humans, up until the present day. But the main feature of this timeline is that it is not static – it is alive and changes with every new historical discovery.

Moreover, every user can contribute to filling in the gaps and become part of the project. To do so, you need to share your own historical discovery in a special form on the website (of course, confirming the event with documentation or other evidence).

Thus, we emphasize that history is everyone's business, not just professors in dusty offices.

New historical discoveries are highlighted on the timeline and presented with articles containing detailed information about the event.

We extended the idea to the project's logo, where the letter H itself seems to be formed by gaps and events.

This, along with the logo animation, makes the main symbol dynamic, just like history itself.

All project materials are unified under a single visual concept - using images of solid and empty spheres, symbolizing significant events and gaps in history, respectively.

There are many gaps in the historical memory of Ukrainians. Perhaps, in part, that&#8217;s why tragic events of the past keep repeating with our people over and over again.
To fill these gaps and emphasize the relevance of history, we have launched a special project called &#8220;Heroes about Heroes&#8221; – modern heroes (the Armed Forces of Ukraine, paramedics, volunteers) tell stories about heroes of the past (Cossacks).
It is particularly touching and inspiring that these heroes are currently on the front lines, defending the country against the enemy, and yet they have found time to help us popularize the true history of Ukraine.

These simple shapes contain infinite possibilities for a broad visual language — reminiscent of a fun game of construction with blocks.

Create a unique brand mascot for WeFormOnline, which specializes in corporate consulting and remote company formation in over 20 jurisdictions. Find a way to show the personal and friendly approach the company has. 

Challenge 

After researching the client and its target audience's needs, we focused on the main personality traits that were important to portray in the brand mascot. A female character who is confident, super professional, quick, smart, friendly, and trustworthy. Based on her traits, we moved forward in creating a unique 3D character like no other. Please, meet Janet!

We started with simple pencil sketches in order to create three completely different characters, addressing different personality traits in a variety of illustrative styles. We gave our characters different body shapes, hairstyles, and fashion choices.

The process

We worked together with the client on color selection and the character‘s appearance. The client made a choice and (touching moment) came up with a name - Janet. She became alive for us at that moment. And we moved on to 3D modeling, which included making decisions down to the smaaaalest details: to tweed or not to tweed? Long lashes or short, big teeth or little teeth… no detail was too small.

Who is Janet? Creating an authentic brand hero from scratch

To develop a name and logo for an art gallery that features unique artists – people with various disabilities who reside on the premises. The art they create is designed to develop their capabilities, and showcasing and selling it in the gallery is meant to boost self-confidence and self-worth.

We created a logo based on the image of the sun as a symbol of creativity and meaningful life that unites everyone.
 
The sun rays are shaped as triangles of different proportions, to put emphasis on the main message: you don't have to be perfect to be meaningful.

In the palette, we used the colors of the incredible natural landscape that surrounds the art gallery and inspires its residents.

In honor of Rabbi Leo Baeck's 150th birthday, we wanted to create a modern logo that encapsulates his spirit and ideas. As a rabbi, educator, and theologian, Leo Baeck played an essential role in Jewish life. He served as a military rabbi for the German army during World War 1, and then, during the Nazi period and World War 2, he served as the leader of The Reich Representation of German Jews in Nazi Germany. He later contributed significantly to the study and preservation of German-Jewish history and culture and was named the first president of the Leo Beck Institute, which was established to promote and encourage the historical and cultural research of German Jewry.

We often hear from clients: “We love all the logo options, it’s so difficult to choose”. But the Leo Baeck Institute went even further. They decided to ask for public opinion and pick the winner through Facebook. How would you vote? Scroll down for the winner.

Peoples’ choice

We created a whimsical abstract drawing of Rabbi Leo Beck and combined the number 150 to symbolize his 150th anniversary in the abstract facial features. To symbolize the books the Rabbi wrote and the knowledge he passed on, we painted rectangular spots. Bright, happy colors complement this logo, creating an ambiance of art and light.  

This option is more modern and minimalistic. To create the illusion of the Rabbi's smiling portrait, we assembled graphic, non-specific shapes. This contemporary language we created is designed to reflect the Rabbi's character, and deliver a modest but light-hearted atmosphere.

This option highlights the Rabbi's all-knowing, full-of-wisdom eyes behind iconic glasses. Based on this photo, we saw the opportunity to combine the number 150, which commemorates the 150th anniversary of the Rabbi's birth, as graphic shapes within the glasses. A soft-spoken and modern image reflected the Rabbi's unique and revolutionary viewpoint.

The winning logo shows Leo Baeck’s linear portrait that looks like it was created with one unstoppable pen movement. We got the idea from Rabbi Baeck’s penmanship, his texts, so modern at the time, still consist of important timeless wisdom and connect generations through centuries.

For such a modern logo solution we kept the colors calm and rich, to make this logotype work well in the Leo Baeck Institute visual system.
We implemented wine-colored accents to highlight this visionary's famous features and the brilliant impact Leo Baeck himself had on the Jewish community.

Create a logo for a unique program that is a collaboration created by "The Toronto foundation", "Israel Innovation Authority" & Career 21", designed to connect two different  worlds in the Israeli-Jewish society.

A unique program called Haredi Tech helps integrate English-speaking members of the ultra-orthodox Jewish community into the high-tech workforce. Since members of this community usually receive only religious education, they have difficulties finding employment since they do not have a formal high-school or university education.
 
This program offers a very practical and useful training in various hi-tech fields. Such training, alongside English proficiency, is the key to finding a high-paying job while becoming a valuable addition to the workforce.
 
Due to its design, this program caters to the specific needs of this community, such as separate classes for men and women (as it is required by faith in this ultra-orthodox community), and flexible hours that coincide with religious schooling and family commitments.

Another world

In this version, we combined the form of the Gemara texts (which are studied in the ultra-orthodox community) and the coding language, demonstrating their similarity.

In the second option, a typographic combination plays between an old-style font that corresponds to serif texts from prayer books and a modern font with a hint of a digital language.

The third option contains a dome-shaped element in the letter "H," which resembles both a yarmulke (kippah) and a bridge or tunnel, symbolizing the connection between both worlds.

We have integrated the main letters of the project's name - H & T into the logo itself

DGY Investments was just that at first - only a name. We helped build their brand from scratch, and now the company successfully helps investors from around the world find and manage their perfect real estate remotely.

Saphira devised the term "InvestMate" to convey the feeling of true partnership 
and reliability that DGY imparts to its clients. We fulfilled this approach in every 
step of the project: striking color, dynamic graphic elements, friendly characters, impressive social media design, and engaging content.

We heightened our design with the experience of a face-to-face tour by choosing pictures shot from the person's height and using colors from current real estate projects and constructions. This way DGY potential clients can get an “in-person” feeling of the property.
