3D Design | Brand Mascot

Challenge

Create a unique brand mascot for WeFormOnline, which specializes in corporate consulting and remote company formation in over 20 jurisdictions. Find a way to show the personal and friendly approach the company has.

Idea

After researching the client and its target audience's needs, we focused on the main personality traits that were important to portray in the brand mascot. A female character who is confident, super professional, quick, smart, friendly, and trustworthy. Based on her traits, we moved forward in creating a unique 3D character like no other. Please, meet Janet!

The process

We started with simple pencil sketches in order to create three completely different characters, addressing different personality traits in a variety of illustrative styles. We gave our characters different body shapes, hairstyles, and fashion choices.

Color me Janeth

We worked together with the client on color selection and the character‘s appearance. The client made a choice and (touching moment) came up with a name - Janet.

She became alive for us at that moment. And we moved on to 3D modeling, which included making decisions down to the smaaaalest details: to tweed or not to tweed? Long lashes or short, big teeth or little teeth… no detail was too small.

3D skeleton creation

Out of zeros and ones, an (almost) living creature appears. Here is a sneak peek into our final touch process.
